Admission Process and Eligibility

  • What are the eligibility criteria for LeapStart?
    To be eligible for LeapStart, students must have a minimum of 70% in Mathematics and successfully pass their 12th-grade finals. Additionally, students must be 20 years old or younger at the time of taking the LAT (LeapStart Assessment Test). This ensures that candidates possess the necessary foundational knowledge to succeed in the engineering programs.

    Note: A student can attempt the LAT a maximum of 3 times to qualify for admission.

  • How can I apply for LAT?
    To apply for LeapStart, you need to complete the online application form. You will need to provide your academic details, upload necessary documents while submitting application form. Once your application is received, you will be invited to the campus for taking the LAT, and further admission steps follow.
  • How many times can I take the LAT exam?
    Students are eligible to take the LAT a maximum of 3 times. This gives you the opportunity to attempt the test up to three times if needed, but we recommend preparing thoroughly for your first attempt to secure your spot with LeapStart and help you avoid being placed on a waiting list.
  • What is the selection process after clearing the LAT exam?
    After clearing the LAT, you will proceed to the interview by the expert team. These are designed to assess your academic potential, logical reasoning abilities, personal qualities, and overall suitability for LeapStart. Based on your performance in the interviews, you will either be selected, placed on the waitlist, or not selected. We encourage you to put your best foot forward in these interviews to improve your chances of being selected and joining the LeapStart community!
  • Are there any specific academic qualifications required to take the LAT?
    To be eligible for the LAT, you simply need to have scored at least 70% in Mathematics in your 12th grade and be 20 years old or younger. The key is having the passion to learn and the drive to be among the top 1%.
  • Can I apply to LeapStart if my board results are not out yet?
    Yes, you can still apply to LeapStart even if your board results are not yet out. You can submit your application based on your expected results, and once your results are declared, you can provide the final marks for verification. LeapStart understands that your results are pending, and we allow flexibility in the application process.
  • Am I eligible to apply for the UG program at LeapStart if I joined a polytechnic/diploma after class 10?
    Yes, you are eligible to apply for the UG program at LeapStart. However, you will need to register in the first year, just like regular students, while meeting the required eligibility criteria.
  • Can I join this program if I am in the first year of B.Tech?
    Yes, you can join the program, but you will need to register as a first-year student, just like regular students, while ensuring you meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Can I enroll in this course if I am a working professional without an undergraduate degree?
    Yes, you can enroll in the course, but you must meet the eligibility criteria, which include having at least 70% in Mathematics in your 12th grade and being 20 years or younger at the time of registration.

LAT

  • What subjects are included in the LAT exam?
    The LeapStart Assessment Test (LAT) is structured to assess candidates across three distinct sections, each with its own minimum qualifying score. The test spans a duration of 30 mins and includes the following sections:
    • General Aptitude (Logical thinking, Data Interpretation, and Algorithm Thinking).
    • English (Reading Comprehension and Language Reasoning).
    • Mathematics (10th class Maths and Intermediate Mathematics).

    Note: A student can attempt the LAT a maximum of 3 times to qualify for admission.

    The LAT can be attempted a maximum of three times, with the interview round limited to two attempts per academic year.
